Format of play
Saturday - 36-hole qualifying stableford (handicap allowance will be half of the combined per pair). This is played over the Blue course with the leading four pairs proceeding into "Flight One" for Sunday. All other pairs will qualify into the following flights, from Two to Fifteen, as determined by their qualifying scores and in multiples of four pairs respectively.
Sunday - Matchplay. Flights as determined by Saturday's qualifying scores. The morning round of play will see the semi-finals for each flight, with the afternoon play for the finals. There will be an additional third place play-off for "Flight One" qualifiers on Sunday afternoon only.

• Entry fee £180.00 per player (member's discretionary discount available)
• Please note, we do not accept AMEX
• Maximum handicap index of 18.0 (combined maximum for each pair is 30)
• Minimum age of 18 at the time of the competition
• All other entries are at the discretion of C. J. White, the General Manager.
• Closing date for entries is Friday 7th August 2026.
• Practice rounds are available on Friday 11th September from 14.00 at a rate of £50 per person. If you would like to book a practice round, please do contact the Office team on 01485 532811.

• Optional sweepstake per pair £10, and ball sweep per pair £10, on the day.
• A light lunch between qualifying rounds on Saturday.
• Supper after play has finished on Saturday.
• Traditional Sunday lunch after the semi-final matchplay rounds.
• Prizes are awarded to all flights and the best qualifying score.
• The presentation will commence at 18.00 on Sunday. Jacket and tie is required.

Priority access for 2025 competitors closes 28th November 2025.
PAIRS POLICY - To be eligible to utilise your priority access to this competition, you must enter with the same partner that you competed with in 2025.

Open for general entry on 5th January 2026. Entries are taken on a first come, first served basis. We will operate a reserve list. If you are unsuccessful with your entry, a full refund will be issued.

All entries shall be subject to the approval of the Competitions Committee, which reserves the right to accept, refuse, or cancel an entry without giving reason for its decision. The Committee’s decision shall be final. In such cases, any entry fees paid, will also be refunded.

Conditions of competition
Competitors should register on arrival in the Golf Room on Saturday 12th September.
For the avoidance of doubt, Hunstanton Golf Club does not recognise iGolf handicaps under any circumstances.
Competitors will be elected Honorary members of the Club for the 12th and 13th September.
The use of buggies is only permited for those with a medical certificate.
Slow play is unacceptable and the Committee may impose penalties. We expect a game of foursomes to take no longer than 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Please ensure you arrive promptly on Saturday for your designated tee time.

A reminder that failure to act in an appropriate manner may result in disqualification and when deemed appropriate, a ban from all future Hunstanton Open competitions, at the discertion of the Competitions Committee.
